Historical Travel

I brake for historical markers!

That’s my motto. Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved immersing myself in history and historic sites. I vividly remember a costumed interpreter at George Washington’s birthplace in Westmoreland, Virginia, drawing me in and captivating me with stories of George’s childhood. Since that time, I’ve made it a point to include a little bit of history in each travel adventure.

Travel along with me to some of these amazing historic destinations. As a former homeschooling mom, I’ve discovered learning can be fun, and traveling to historic places doesn’t have to be stuffy. Let me help you add as much or as little history to your next itinerary as you like!

“History is a mighty drama, enacted upon the theatre of times, with suns for lamps and eternity for a background.” – Thomas Carlyle
